Tide prevention forest


The origin of the name has two theories.
1. Originally, "二里の松原(Niri-no-Matsubara)" has been called, it changed over time.

2. Because its shape resembled a rainbow(虹,Niji).

This is Niji-no-matsubara(虹の松原). It is located in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture.
The Japanese Black Pine along blue sea and white sand draw an arc like a rainbow.
